BA Theology Franciscan University of Steubenville (MA pending)
Mr. Berube graduated with a BA in Theology and a minor in Philosophy from Franciscan University in 1998. He is currently finishing an MA in Theology at Franciscan University, and plans to begin PhD studies in Theology next year. He has a varied background which includes 3 years as a high school Theology Teacher; 1 year of teaching English IV and Progymnasmata at a Catholic online school; 1 year of professorship at Christ the Teacher College; 10 years as the Pro-Life Director for the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio; a short stint working for a law firm; several years as a writer; and a few years of composing music for weddings, Masses, and special occasions. Mr. Berube is an avid lover of Theology, Philosophy, and literature, and he enjoys studying classic works, reading the books of PG Wodehouse, and writing novels and short stories. He has completed a young adult novel entitled The Secret Adventures of Pip Weatherly, which was a finalist in the Tuscany Press publishing competition in 2012, and he is currently re-writing the book to better prepare it for potential publishers. Mr. Berube and his wife Pamela reside in Columbus, Ohio with their five home-schooled children (ages in-the-womb (due December 2014), 7, 10, 12, and 15) and a menagerie of pets. With a family, a house to maintain, teaching, studying, and writing Mr. Berube’s spare time is limited, but he finds time for extracurricular essentials such as eating, wondering if there is any more bacon, sleeping, croquet, enjoying the outdoors, and the indispensable acts of drinking coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon…and other times as needed.
